I am annoying sometimes

Standard

I had a dream that I was at a social gathering of some kind and AY – a friendquaintance and former kinda-co-worker who is very calm and fairly quiet – was there. I was speaking to him and apparently really annoyed him. I wasn’t sure why but I figured I was being obnoxious or whatever, but I’d never seen him show emotions before, but he looked pissed off. Then I would talk to other people and they would react similarly. I wasn’t sure why they were so annoyed, since I didn’t seem to be able to pay attention to what I actually said to them.

a (mildly) prophetic dream!

JS and I and some other girl (who was not our old co-worker SD, curiously) had been re-hired by C-company, a place I recently worked for until the company’s haemorrhaging of funds led to everyone being laid off. C-company was now being run out of a residential basement, much like W-company, which JS and I also worked for.

After a few days of not really having anything to work on or any clear goals, we were informed by TB (wife of owner, nice lady) that, as we could probably tell, the company already wasn’t working out so well and they would have to let us go. Continue reading

Dr. KJ (owner of C-company, from which I was recently laid off) was renting the ground floor of a building, a sort of office building perhaps. He had the entire thing made up to be a library, with extremely tall bookshelves filled every last one of them with copies of the same book. It was not exactly a book per se. It was a sort of binder that took the form of a hardcover book, and inside were pockets containing three or so smaller books of different sizes, and maybe one of those was actually an audio casette. haunted by silverfish and cyborg women

Standard

We lived in an apartment built over or next to a Chinese convenience store. The place was a poorly designed mess, basically a hall with a few rooms randomly jutting from it at regular intervals, some leading to places that weren’t related to us at all, like stores and things. silverfish - they hate us, you know I found things a tad confusing too, like it seemed to not have a layout consistent from time to time. Then one night I woke up to find that my room was also part of a subway station and a bunch of people were passing through. Then later it was a disgusting sty and silverfish were everywhere. I’d kill one with a death glare or poison or something and its lifeless body would fall onto my rumpled bedsheets, and while I was trying to find the corpse and dispose of it before I got totally grossed out by it touching where I sleep and spreading it’s ick taint, I would spot another one scurrying somewhere else. I was starting a new job in some sort of medical facility. Part of my job either required or entitled me to some sort of surgery, maybe a spine implant or something. When I went to the part of the building to get it done, the waiting room was empty except for one woman, who was talking to the receptionist about how her doctor had her get one of these procedures already, and it didn’t work, and so he recommended getting three more. She mentioned her doctor’s name, Dr. KJ, who is a former boss of mine IRL. I almost laughed. And then I realized that I must be working for Dr. KJ again. This was confirmed when he showed up to give me instructions and I felt embarrassed to be just sitting in the waiting room playing Game Boy on work hours. Continue reading
