I was a Batman-like superhero in a city perpetually shrouded in shadow (not pictured). It was a massive maze of buildings that extended seemingly infinitely in all directions, including up and down. I glided downwards through a section of the city (that seemed like a pit make of buildings going infinitely downwards but occasionally curving around in different directions) and reflected on how safe and sound the city was in spite of the darkness.
This one is a long one, and difficult to put together chronologically. Basically I was both watching and living inside a Tintin movie. Oddly Tintin wasn’t much of a character. I was in a group of four – there was a young boy, me (a teenager), and two adults. We were on a mission and were also on the run. We had been enslaved or imprisoned by some sort of government or organization.
I remember escaping enslavement and impersonating staff within the organization. I did a variety of jobs, including waitstaff and mining. As a miner I was thought of as ‘the new guy’ and so was shown how to do different things, making the facade easier. Continue reading
Being in a city, not being sure if it was a miniature city or a macro city. Kinda post apocalyptic, self-contained. There was a sort of edge before the horizon. There was also an edge to the society, like people wanted to rebel against the engineers who ran it. It was a soft society but people who raised trouble were killed or disappeared. They weren’t really sure what the purpose of this society was. (This was written when half-awake and on further reflection, I have no idea what it means.)
I was on some sort of futuristic military base in the desert, possibly on another planet. There was a strange floating creature that look vaguely animal, and seemed either benign or at the very least totally uninterested. The animal had head protrusions and ball-point leg protrusions.
(Pre-fanciness version of above animation follows in full post, if you’re interested.)
Some sort of impending science fictiony disaster was going to affect a small town and it’s surroundings. I’m thinking lightning-rimmed dimensional gates opening and swallowing up chunks of it, stranding them in space or somewhere else they should not be and cannot exist. I remember observing this phenomenon from the cockpit of a flying vehicle, soaring through skyscrapers of machinery under a purple-red-yellow sky, and being repeatedly denied clearance to land.
I lived in some sort of dystopia where I was part of a program to train youth to be killers and soldiers. Our class comprised of maybe a hundred students, and we were divided into three armies and made to compete with each other on these big indoor fields that simulated various outdoor environments. Some events were races to acquire resources before other teams, others were outright combat. Sometimes the fields were combined into one massive field for mock wars. I seem to think that almost anything was allowed, and not everything on the field was supervised or documented, just results. In this way, students were free to employ whatever methods they saw fit without fear of repercussion. Continue reading
Lived at the old High Park house from a few years ago, but with my family. I entered the livingroom one morning to find all the furniture in the entire house shifted to a big mass in the center of the room.
My father had decided to renovate. He did not discuss this with anyone, even though it would involve a severe inconvenience to all and we might even be required to contribute (this vague awareness that I did pay rent at the house that was the basis of this dream probably supplied this impression). This annoyed me. I was further upset by finding all kinds of disgustingness, including a mangled skunk/crow carcass in the toilet, which I for some reason decided to move to the stovetop, perhaps to cleanse with fire.
